The Rules
1. The Medallion will be hidden on public land in the city limits of Clearwater. Public city property includes parks, trails, the post office, the library, and city hall. It can be found without trespassing, damaging, or defacing land or property or otherwise violating any laws. The Medallion is made of plaster to avoid the use of metal detection equipment. It is approximately 5 inches in diameter and has the Clearwater Travel Plaza logo on it’s face.
2. The winner is responsible for all taxes associated with winning prize amount. Employees of Clearwater Travel Plaza and members of their immediate family are ineligible to participate in the Medallion Hunt. Immediate family means parents, children, stepparents, stepchildren, siblings, stepsiblings, and spouses, whether or not living at the same residence.
3. The first clue will be posted o March 8, 2010 at the Clearwater Travel Plaza at 8:00 a.m. Subsequent daily clues will be posted each day at 8:00 a.m. at the Clearwater Travel Plaza. In addition, Medallion hunters can visit www.clearwatertravelplaza.com for daily clues posted at 8:00 a.m. each morning.
4. To be eligible for the cash prize and gift card, the finder of the Clearwater Travel Plaza Medallion must present the Medallion to a coordinator by March 17, 2010 at 6:00 p.m.
5. If the medallion is not presented to Clearwater Travel Plaza by 6:00 p.m.on March 17, 2010 the Clearwater Travel Plaza reserves the right to terminate the hunt and turn the prize over to a charity of their choice.
6. The decisions of the Clearwater Travel Plaza are final. The Clearwater Travel Plaza assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries sustained by participants. Participants are urged to use reasonable safety precautions, good sportsmanship, and well mannered conduct. All applicable rules, laws, and regulations must be followed. Violators may be disqualified and forfeit any claim to the prize at the sole discretion of the Clearwater travel plaza.
